Our philosophy
We believe that nature offers us everything we need to restore and enhance our physical and emotional wellbeing. Our formulations are not based on ‘new science’ that changes daily, but on an existing body of knowledge based on the healing properties of plants which has been known for generations, and more recently proven through modern day scientific research.
We only work with the highest grade, unrefined natural plant based ingredients chosen for their empirically proven effectiveness. Our formulations have been meticulously refined to create a range of highly effective, superior skin and wellbeing products that help to restore the body’s natural balance.
Our rigorous attention to detail and conscientious quest for knowledge has enabled us to formulate only the cleanest, freshest and most potent skincare and wellbeing products. Every ingredient in our formulas has been researched and used for its ‘active’ properties, and never just as a filler. Our 100% natural products are free from parabens, mineral oils and petrolatums, PPGs, MEA, DEA and TEA, phthalates, silicones and sulfates.
We believe in treating our world with the respect and care needed to pass on its gifts for generations to come. We only use biodegradable, recyclable materials, our vessels are glass and our boxes and labels are made from recyclable paper.

Our story
Our journey together began 18 years ago whilst studying Traditional Chinese Medicine and Psychology. We were both inspired towards discovering a natural way to find balance in our lives, to restore health and wellbeing, and to one day be able to share this knowledge with others.
The serendipity of life took us both down an altogether unanticipated path. A couple of life cycles later, after a successful career in Interior Design, a professional hiatus allowed us the space and time to return to what first brought us together.
Sharing our knowledge of self healing and the pursuit of attaining physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing is what first attracted us to develop the Benevolence brand. We want to use nature’s gifts and its benevolence to help others achieve a sense of balance, both outward, and inward.
Every decision we make for our brand is a true reflection of the beliefs and values that we hold. As an independent brand we never have to compromise on what is important to us. Environmental consciousness is ever present in our choices. We want to promise that we never take from our world and its wonderful gifts, without ensuring that we give back.

Our Manufacture
All of our products are formulated and created in our studio, in London. We personally oversee all aspects of production, ensuring that perfection is achieved through meticulous attention to detail. Our skincare and wellbeing products are all produced in micro-batches to ensure freshness and potency. We only use materials that are natural, sustainable and biodegradable.
